Constellation of Camelopardalis, NGC1502 and Kemble´s Cascade of
stars. NGC1502 is the cluster of about 45 stars at the lower left in
the picture, it is relatively compact for an open cluster and a nice
view in a binocular. Kemble´s Cascade is a chain of relative bright
stars rising from the cluster and contains about 20 stars nearly in
a row stretching over five times the width of a full moon. The chain
is named after astronomy enthusiast Lucian Kemble (1922-1999). Optics and mount: Takahashi FSQ106ED f/3.6 on Takahashi Em-200 Camera: Baader Canon 350D. Guided with MiniBorg 60ED and DSI pro II. Exposures: 10 x 300 ISO800 Software: DSRL focus, Maxim DL (Guiding), Photoshop CS2. Date: 19.11.2008 |
