M 35 Open Cluster

Photo Details:

• Instrument: Takahashi FS-102.
• Filters: None.
• Exposure: 6 x 300sec. @ISO 800 NR on.
• Camera: Canon 20D.
• Software: K3CCDTools, Registax, Photoshop CS2, Neatimage.
• Location: 10 22 29.33 E -  59 11 47.83 N.
• Date: 31.01.2006.
• Local Time: 22.14.
• Comments: No darks or flats used. Very bad seeing this day. NGC 2158, the cluster to the left in the picture,  had bad focus and I added spikes on some of the stars i PS to make it moore exciting.
• Guiding: Guiding with K3CCDTools and my Celestron 102mm Wide View Spotting Scope and webcam.
• Explanation:  M35 is another beautiful cluster located in the winter sky. It is located about 2800 light-years away. To the right of M35 in this photo is a smaller, fainter cluster NGC2158.
