Abell 85 (CTB 1) is a large (Diameter: 35') supernova remnant (SNR)
located in Cassiopeia. Also know as LBN 576. It was also recognized
as a radio source and acquired the alternative designation CTB 1.
CTB 1's shows large variations when imaged in various emission
lines. CTB 1 is one of the holy grails of the Deep Sky challenges for visual observers and it sure is a very difficult target in RGB as well. This picture consist of Ha and LRGB and a total exposure time of 21 hours is used. Sub-exposures from 5 to 20 minutes. Data collection is done in co-operation with Arne Danielsen, he used a Takahashi Epsilon 180ED f/2.8 on a Paramount and a ST-10XME. I have used Takahashi FSQ106ED f/5 on Takahashi EM-200 and Artemis 4021 CCD. This is a field that is easy to combine. A big thanks to Arne for his co-operation, hope to continue on a new object.
