Object information |
The galaxy is partly hidden in dustlanes from our own galaxy disc plane, hence the nickname "hidden" galaxy. The galaxy is actually very bright, but the interstellar matter of the Milky Way blocks the light. This galaxy would be among the brightest in the sky if not blocked by interstellar matter. Colors are somewhat on the red side. So what is my excuse for the "dull" picture? 1. Bad bad bad weather conditions 2. Slight mis colimation. |
